On 8 April 2025, the new Streamer.bot 0.2.8 Update published. Although this is always not yet about the long-awaited version 1.0 release with Dark Mode – but about an important Hotfix, which fixes several critical bugs in the previous version (v0.2.7). Anyone who relies on a stable setup should definitely install this update.

What's new in Streamer.bot 0.2.8?

The goal of this hotfix is to quickly resolve bugs from version 0.2.7 and improve overall stability. Here's an overview of the most important changes:

Bug fixes:

  • Crash when automatically connecting to Streamlabs Desktop has been fixed

  • OBS Event Trigger can now be added again without any problems

  • BTTV Websocket connection problems were corrected

  • Crashes in the Twitch Throwing System are a thing of the past

Further adjustments:

  • Optimizations to the Pronoun API from alejo.io, for better support and performance

Important: How the update works correctly

Due to an error in Streamer.bot Version 0.2.5 is the Auto-update function only active if you are Streamer.bot website integration logged in. To update to version 0.2.8, you have two options:

  1. Manual update via the Streamer.bot page

  2. Login to the Website Integration and perform a normal update

Streamer.bot 0.2.8 is small but crucial

Even if Streamer.bot 0.2.8 While it's "just" a hotfix, it brings significant improvements – especially for streamers using Streamlabs Desktop, OBS, or BTTV. The update ensures more stable operation and fewer crashes – a definite must-download!
